Submission of applications for the BEST CHORAL COMPOSITION in a competition that forms part of the Malta International Choir Festival, 2017 closed last month.
The Organising Committee is very pleased to note that compositions have been submitted from 22 countries from all over the world. The composers hail as far away as China, Argentina, Indonesia, South Korea, Australia and the USA.
Closer to home the largest number of compostions have come from Italy, the United Kingdom, Spain, and the Netherlands. Other European nationals who submitted their works include, Polish, Croatian, Maltese, German, Hungarian, Belgian, French and Norwegian.
This is a truly international mix of works that shall make the adjudicating panel composed of Mro Joseph Vella, Mro Jan Vicar and Mro Branko Stark, chaired by Fr John Galea work really hard to select the best works.
The results of the competition for first prize (Euro 1,000), shall be announced on this website by end of June, 2017.
