Malta International Choir Festival 23rd Edition Winners

The overall winners of the 23rd edition of the Malta International Choir Festival are as follows:

Children and Youths category – MOTÝLI ŠUMPERK from Czech Republic

Sacred Music Category – Kaunas mixed choir Kamertonas from Lithuania

Secular Music Category – Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Universitas Gadjah Mada from Indonesia.

The results of SACRED MUSIC CATEGORY 1 WITH FREE PROGRAMME

 

With a total mark of 50.2%, Gente Habanera conducted by Mar Calvo receive an Honorary Diploma of Merit.

With a total mark of 61.4%, Coro Lorenzo Perosi conducted by Maria Grazia Garau receive an Honorary Diploma of Merit.

With a total mark of 67.4%, Olesnicki Chor Kameralny Appassionata conducted by Edyta Szostak-Kirzyc receive an Honorary Diploma of Merit.

With a total mark of 68.6%, Vox Intensa conducted by Slawomir Bronk receive an Honorary Diploma of Merit.

With a total mark of 69.8%, Chor Campanella Sycow conducted by Edyta Szostak-Kirzyc receive an Honorary Diploma of Merit.

With a total mark of 75%, August 07 conducted by Urve Uusberg receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 77.6%, Sofia Choir Prof George Dimitrov Chorus School conducted by Vesela Pastarmadzhieva receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 78%, Poznanski Chor Kameralny Towarzystwa Muzycnego Imienia Henyrka Wieiawskeigo w Poznaniu conducted by Matelska Katarzyna receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 82.8%, Medera conducted by Gunta Vavere receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 87.6%, Female Choir Canzona conducted by Elzbieta Wtorkowska receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 91.8%, Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Universitas Gadjah Mada conducted by Agustinus Bambang Jusana receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

And finally, with a total mark of 93.8%, receiving an Honorary Diploma of Excellence and declared Category Winner Kulturno umetnisko drustvo Duri Col conducted by Veronica Skedelj.

 

The results of SACRED MUSIC CATEGORY 2 WITH COMPULSORY PROGRAMME

 

With a total mark of 79%, Motylu Sumperk conducted by Istvan Balas receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 82.8%, Cathedral Boys’ Choir Pueri Cantores Tarnoveinses conducted by Grzegorz Piekarz receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 87.2%, Mandak Choir conducted by Istvan Balas receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 87.6%, The Academic Choir of the Silesian University of Technology conducted by Tomasz Giedwillo receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 89%, Vocalensemble Landsberg conducted by Matthias Utz receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 89.8%, Dominanta Choir from Cracow University of Economics conducted by Malgorzata Langer Krol receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

And finally, with a total mark of 95.4%, receiving an Honorary Diploma of Excellence and declared Category Winner Kaunas Mixed Choir Kamertonas conducted by Kestutis Jakeliunas.

 

The results of SACRED MUSIC CATEGORY 3 MONODIC CHANT

With a total mark of 82.2%, Vox Intensa conducted by Slawomir Bronk receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence and declared Category Winner.

 

We shall now proceed with the results of the SECULAR MUSIC COMPETITION.

The results of SECULAR MUSIC CATEGORY 1 WITH FREE PROGRAMME

 

With a total mark of 47.6%, Gente Habanera conducted by Mar Calvo receive a Certificate of Participation.

With a total mark of 65%, Freedom conducted by Oxana Kharitonova receive an Honorary Diploma of Merit.

With a total mark of 72%, ShenZhen Ruby Art Troupe conducted by Yang Qiuming receive an Honorary Diploma of Merit.

And finally, with a total mark of 75.8%, receiving an Honorary Diploma of Excellence and declared Category Winner Poznanski Chor Kameralny Towarzystwa Muzycznego Imienia Henryka Wieniawskiego w Poznaniu conducted by Matelska Katarzyna.

 

The results of SECULAR MUSIC CATEGORY 2 WITH COMPULSORY PROGRAMME

 

With a total mark of 82%, The Academic Choir of the Silesian University of Technology conducted by Tomasz Giedwillo receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 82.6%, Mandak Choir conducted by Istvan Balas receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 86.2%, Vocalensemble Landsberg conducted by Matthias Utz receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 88.2%, Caljente conducted by Tine Rabijns receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 89.4%, Dominanta Choir from Cracow University of Economics conducted by Malgorzata Langer Krol receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

And finally, with a total mark of 93.2%, receiving an Honorary Diploma of Excellence and declared Category Winner Kaunas Mixed Choir Kamertonas conducted by Kestutis Jakeliunas.

 

The results of SECULAR MUSIC CATEGORY 3 FOLK MUSIC

 

With a total mark of 68.8%, August 07 conducted by Urve Uusberg receive an Honorary Diploma of Merit.

With a total mark of 78.4%, Sofia Choir Prof George Dimitrov Choir School conducted by Vesela Pastarmadzhieva receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

And finally, with a total mark of 97%, receiving an Honorary Diploma of Excellence and declared Category Winner Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Universitas Gadjah Mada conducted by Augustinus Bambang Jusana.

 

The results of CATEGORY 1 CHILDREN’S CHOIRS

 

With a total mark of 75%, Freedom conducted by Oxana Kharitonova receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

And finally, with a total mark of 77%, Carillon conducted by Caterina Pasetto receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence and declared Category Winner. Unfortunately Carillon are not with us this evening since they had an early flight this morning but we congratulate them nevertheless.

 

The results of CATEGORY 2 YOUTH CHOIRS

 

With a total mark of 77%, Choir Voces Blancas del Conservatorio del Nalon conducted by Oscar Allen Fraga and Cristina Luces del Rio receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

With a total mark of 86.8%, Cathedral Boys’ Choir Pueri Cantores Tarnovienses conducted by Grzegorz Piekarz receive an Honorary Diploma of Excellence.

And finally, with a total mark of 88.6%, receiving an Honorary Diploma of Excellence and declared Category Winner Motyli Sumperk conducted by Helena Stojanikova and Tomas Motyl.
